Transformational Journey

Response

Each organisational transformational journey consists of multiple interlinked work streams:

  • Transformational Leadership & Stakeholders

  • Transformational Office

  • Agile Teams

The transformational process begins when Leadership & Stakeholders defining a series of Transformational Strategic Goals, whilst a dedicated Agile Transformational Teams is formed within the Transformational Office.

The Transformational Strategic Goals which we typically see include, optimise production, streamline support services or bring to market a new offering in lightening pace against a backdrop of a more turbulent marketplace.

The Transformational Strategic Goals are best described within the context of a program mission statement that outlines clearly what the goal is. For example, "To enable the organisation to exploit more quickly emerging opportunities by bring to new offerings to the the market." or "To provide the best experience for all of our customers from initial engagement to customer support."

For the Agile Transformational Teams to identify the most appropriate structural changes that are needed to meet these goals, a series of Value Stream Mapping sessions are held, which will help the Leadership & Stakeholders define a series of Objectives & Key Results.

Once the Transformational Office has formed a Transformational Team they’re responsible for defining its own Roadmap. which will produce the  Organisational Blueprint consists of a series of TO-BE Organisational, Operational, Technology and Quality deliverables.

As we shall cover in a greater detail shortly, one of the key member of the Agile Transformational Teams is an Agility Lead who will work closely with a newly formed Agile COE, who are responsibility for designing and overseeing the adoption of the Agile specific operational, organisational, tools and governance changes. And whose members will be appointed to individual Agile Teams to put into practice the new ways working.
